Sunglasses to Suit Your Face Shape!

Sunglasses are a great accessory to have within your wardrobe… if you get the colour and shape suitable to compliment and flatter your face. Try opting for more neutral and classic shaped sunglasses that you can wear season after season!

Following on from Monday’s blog post ‘Which Face Shape are You?’ today I promised you a post on sunglasses that would suit your face shape… well here we are Imagettes, so start viewing and look out for similar shapes to suit your face shape!

Oval shaped frames can flatter your face, though do not choose frames that are wider than your temples. Glasses with no frames or with lightweight frames can also flatter your heart shaped face.

To enhance your oblong face shape select wide frames that are of a light and delicate nature, as this will slightly widen the face. Try to avoid any shapes that are dramatic with angular shaped frames, which will only add to the angles of your face.

Your oval shaped face is the most versatile of face shapes… so the majority of shaped frames will flatter though more dramatic geometric styles may be a bit harsh looking.

In order to decrease the fullness of your face try wearing frames that have a little more width than the widest part of your face i.e. your cheekbones. Frames of a rectangle or square form will compliment by balancing the roundness of your face. Steer clear of round or lenses without frames, as they will only accentuate your round face further.

Square and rectangular shaped glasses will only aim to highlight and echo the square shape of you face, so choose round or oval shaped frames to balance the angles.

Finally as with all accessories, your glasses should be in proportion to the size of your face. When selecting glasses, your eyes should be balanced to the central part of the lens.

Stay Stylish,

Hehe, if only that was my face shape too – I am a huge fan of all the crazy styles of sunglasses but there are many that don’t suit my face shape! I do love ‘cat eye’ shaped sunglasses though & can wear them easily, so that keeps me happy🙂 Thanks for reading lovely, xoxo
